The gospel quartet of Lee Williams and the Spiritual QCs formed in Tupelo, Mississippi in 1968. They toured on a part-time basis for many years before recording their first album Jesus Is Alive And Well  in 1996 at the Georgia-based gospel label MCG Records. That album included their breakout hit, “I’ve Learned To Lean”. The group went from part-time quartet to performing 50 weeks per year following the release of their second album Love Will Go All the Way in 1998. Their third album, Good Time released in 2000 reached the top ten of billboard’s Gospel Charts the same year. The following year, the group won Traditional Quartet of the Year at the Gospel Music excellence Awards and was nominated for Best Gospel Album at the Soul Train Music Awards. The were the James Cleveland Live Time Achievement Recipients at the 2010 Stellar Awards.

Lead singer, Lee Williams, started singing gospel when he was eight years old. He is backed by Al Hollis as guitarist and background vocal, Patrick Hollis as background singer, Leonard Shumpert as second lead vocalist, and bassist Tommie Harris.
